A once-in-a-lifetime experience!
60 violins that survived the Holocaust and were restored by violin makers in Israel are arriving in Columbia. They will be featured in a concert at the Koger Center this Mother’s Day, on May 8, 2022, at 3:30 pm. The violins will be played by The Long Bay Symphony and will be joined by the Carolina Master Chorale and the Horry County Children and Youth Choir, as well as soloists from Bulgaria. This magnificent concert will tell the heroic story of how the Bulgarian people rescued their entire Jewish population from Hitler’s concentration camps in 1943. The concert was presented previously at the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center, to great acclaim.
