George Washington’s Jewish Letters and the Creation of a Constitutional Republic

On behalf of the Center for American Civic Leadership and Public Discourse in the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences, please join us in welcoming Rabbi Meir Soloveichik as he presents his lecture, “George Washington’s Jewish Letters and the Creation of a Constitutional Republic.”

This lecture will be held on Tuesday, January 20 at 7 p.m. in the Karen J. Williams Courtroom at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law.

Rabbi Meir Soloveichik is recognized as one of the world’s leading Jewish scholars and educators, as well as one of the most influential religious figures in America. Rabbi Soloveichik will discuss religious liberty at the Founding and the meaning of America as a place of religious freedom for the Jewish people.
